Trip to Brianza: Como and agritourism

ComoOn Wednesday morning, August 14th, we woke up after a night of rain and we found a weather suddenly cold and uninviting.
Without being discouraged, we went to visit Como.

I really liked the city, most of all the squares and the palaces along the lake: despite the heavy clouds above us had turned off the colors, making the landscape a bit dull, we walked down to the lake and I found a really nice park and a long dock.

ComoThe following day was Ferragosto (August 15th) so the house was full of people who cooked since the morning and there was the inevitable barbecue (for me zucchini in the pan!).

Here’s a street of Cantù, on the way to go to the county fair.

Summer GirlAfter lunch, we are ready for a trip out of town, towards agriturismo Cassinazza! At the farm were goats, cows, horses, chickens, in large enclosures that gave, at least, a semblance of freedom. In addition, the farm produces a really good homemade yogurt: a small bottle costs only 1€.

I love the green!

ChairOn the way home we stopped to admire the castle of Carimate … too bad it became a hotel and it was closed that day. The town was absolutely quiet, it seemed almost uninhabited!
