Last year: April 2012 ~ Photodiary

How I reply to all, I don’t think to do so much: it’s true that I have many hobbies, but it is simply because I’m terribly bored by dedicating myself to only one thing!

So I thought to write a post on my band, Itten Circle, with whom I play since 2010 and I’ve never written here (but those who follow me on social networks surely know it): among ups and downs, changes of drummer, gigs, rehearsals, smashed amplifiers, cables that don’t work, songs arranged 2 days before the gig, we are still here to play out loud!

I don’t like to take myself too seriously, so I don’t think it is a big thing I play in a band (also because as bassist I’m not Flea, for sure), but apparently I cause stir for this (probably because I look like anything but a rocker!) XD

Our latest gig was on April 26, just a few days ago, at the Blackout! It was the semi-final of a competition and we managed to pass to the next step: we’re going to play at Stazione Birra, a huge and very famous pub, and for us this is really a great achievement! *-*

Last year: March 2012 ~ Photodiary

Founded on April 22 1970 by U.S. Senator Nelson, who managed to join 20 million Americans for peaceful demonstrations in favor of environmental reform, the day wants to emphasize the need for conservation of natural resources of the Earth and now involves 175 countries.

But the Earth Day should not be just one day a year, because the problems plaguing our planet must be tackled immediately and constantly: pollution, plant and animal species that are disappearing and the depletion of non-renewable resources.

This year, Earth Day is dedicated to climate change, and on the official site there is the invite to share photos to take part to the project: “climate change can seem like a remote problem for our leaders, but the fact is that it’s already impacting real people, animals, and beloved places. These Faces of Climate Change are multiplying every day. Fortunately, other Faces of Climate Change are multiplying too: those stepping up to do something about it. Help us personalize the massive challenge climate change presents by taking a photo and telling your story. How has climate change impacted you? What are you doing to be part of the solution? “

I will attend on Sunday 21 to an event of anticipation of Earth Day, organized by a friend of mine: “Madre Terra” will host screenings of videos by Greenpeace, readings, music and tasting of season food, in collaboration with the Green Campus of AIESCE/Università Roma Tre.

Sabato 6 aprile, la LAV vi aspetta al Circolo degli Artisti (via Casilina Vecchia 42, Roma) per una bellissima serata!
Dalle 19 alle 22, infatti, ci sarà un aperitivo veg benefit a cura di LAV ROMA.

Il ricavato dell’incasso sarà devoluto per sostenere le spese legali degli attivisti indagati per l’irruzione nell’allevamento di Green Hill, avvenuta a Montichiari (Brescia) il 28 aprile 2012, e che ha portato alla liberazione di alcuni beagle presenti al suo interno.

L’aperitivo sarà 100% vegan, preparato in casa con ingredienti scelti e di stagione dallo chef Mario Sestili (SCATOLETTA DI SEITAN), accompagnato da un contest musicale di djs che con la loro partecipazione sosterranno la causa.

Durante l’aperitivo, e nel corso della serata, ci sarà anche la proiezione di filmati sulla liberazione dei beagle di Green Hill e sulle campagne promosse dalla LAV. Sarà inoltre presente un tavolo informativo per conoscere e sostenere l’associazione.
